Sirui Xu (徐思睿)
Ph.D. candidate @ UIUC
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, advised by Prof. Yuxiong Wang and Prof. Liangyan Gui. My research focuses on building interactive embodied agents that can generate, simulate, and perform physical skills as humans do. I previously earned my M.S. from UIUC and my B.S. from Peking University.
I am always open to discussion and collaboration. Feel free to reach out!
Research Themes
纸上得来终觉浅,绝知此事要躬行 — 陆游, 1199
Today's foundation models understand the world, but true mastery requires physical engagement. My research builds the missing layer: generating, simulating, and performing the physical skills for embodied AI to interact with the world with human-like dexterity and agility.
Behavioral Intelligence
What should happen?
Foundation models that speak the language of motion and interaction.
Physical Intelligence
How should it happen?
Physics simulation that grounds interactive behavior in scalable motor priors.
